The Oldest Tree In The Forest Bleeds Our Bloody Initials

Somehow a distant hill calls me
With a literary reference
But the house across the street shouts out
With one heck of a party
The lies you weave are oh so intricATE
Burn up in the sun of a dark moon
And you forget where you stole your life from too darn soon
Soundless bullets hurt the worst
Your lead will lie in my heart for eternity
Nothing is real, nothing to get hung about
But everything still hurts the worst
Read between the lines
Of the next stanza to come

Blow yourself up
(Hearts are painful, yes?)
With a French grenade
(Caught the first one I threw, are you up to catching another?)
The players sweat, and drink Gatorade
(You'll be buried under the yew tree, in pleasant shade)
How ye been, the old man says
(He's a killer in disguise)
Whenever I think of you, two songs play on repeat
(One's called love, the other's called lust)
See above line when you see the one below
(Don't ask me which is stronger, they're siamese twins)
I'm watching when you sleep
(Holding your dreams and watching your body)
Oh so now you're in charge of your life
(I don't think so, missy)
Apparently you forgot who got you where you are today
(Just where I want you)

If you read between the lines
In above stanza
Remember what I didn't directly tell you
Face to pretty face
Can be a lie or mud
Or perhaps a bottle of blood
Put your ear to the ceiling
You can hear the vampires singing
And we all love you
Or the person who tells us pretty lies
And sneaks and tells us we've won the prize
But it's just a consolation one
Maybe if I played lead guitar, you'd love me
But electric ukulele never got the babes
The most important word in this song is the only one you missed
And I'm gonna take my life tax from you
Alone, in a dark room
When you're outside alone, the only light for your autobiography
Is that cold blueish moon

My two favorite lines are:

'Read between the lines Of the next stanza to come'

'Maybe if I played lead guitar, you'd love me
But electric ukulele never got the babes'

The last one amuses me.
