It's a dandelion. It was one of the few in my yard when I took this picture; now they're everywhere.

Squirrels

It is a little known fact about me, but I love squirrels. They are like little personifications of Nature, small, energetic, clever and entirely unreadable. You can't see into their heads and figure out what they are thinking; you can only guess. Actually, they seem not to even think. Just as the wind and the waves of the sea are unthinking moving parts of Nature, squirrels dash about, but seem to have only the harmony of Nature behind them as a driving force. Interesting little tree rats. Although, if you look hard, you might be able to see the dragon inside them.

If you watch the sun,

your eyes burn out, but for one brief moment the world lights up like never before.
